Behind the scenes { photographing newborn twins }

I just received a few fun images of myself working from Eric Gran who himself is a wonderful accomplished photographer. His work is amazing. Check it his black & white work. But these days Eric and his wife pour most of their energy into raising their beautiful twin babies.

So here I am at work. I have a bit of back drop behind the babies. You can also see the space heater which really helps to keep the babies comfortable. You can also see blankets all around. We make sure the babies are comfy and dry at all times. Accident do happen and it's always nice to have a big stash of blankets on hand. You might also notice that there is no neck strap on my camera. Never have been. I cannot stand those things. But don't worry, in my whole professional career I have never ever dropped my camera or even gotten close to dropping it. Whoops, I hope I didn't just jinx myself...

And the shot I got:

Three generations of girls

I had a great pleasure of photographing this wonderful family with three generations of girls. We did the session at Willamette Oaks Retirement Apartments with only natural available light. We had a wonderful time together capturing these special images!

K & A { sibling photography }

It was a chilly morning when I met up with 3-year-old K and her freshly-turned-1 sister A. They did an amazing job in their summer clothes! They were happy and and smiley until the very end. This session was scheduled to celebrate little A turning 1 but we couldn't leave her beautiful big sister out of the picture. And look what happened! We got so lucky I was able to capture THE perfect shot of these two little busy bodies together!

School photos { at Congregational Preschool }

I just finished taking school photos for Congregational Preschool here in Eugene. My kids graduated from CPS last year. It felt so nice to be back there and see how much the kids have grown since the last time I saw them!

J + J + A { on-location family session }

This lovely young family came all the way from Portland for their family portraits. But don't be fooled by the studio look of the images. They were all taken on location at their friends gorgeous historic house in Eugene. Tons on natural light and simple decor made my work really easy! Oh, and of course, baby A was the happiest baby on the block!

The family of Js { 6-month old baby girl photography }

Little miss J - the littlest member of the family of Js - just turned 6 months and we had a nice low-key photo session to mark this big milestone. Here she is with the cutest smile on her face. Her big brother got his shovel ready for a big pile of dirt on their front yard and had the best time helping his daddy!

I am back! { from Slovakia }

I have been back from my trip to Slovakia for exactly one week now. It's good to be back but I am still trying to catch up. I apologize for my delayed response to your e-mails and voice-mails. I promise to get in touch as soon as I can.

Our trip to Slovakia was wonderful. It always feels good to be back home. We did so many things with the kids centered specially around animals and water. Riding horses, playing with kittens, puppies and grass hoppers, swimming, playing in creeks and lakes and riding more horses...

Here are just a few snapshots:
