Back from our trip to Sunriver, Oregon

We just got back from our trip to Sunriver. We all had a wonderful time but the kids seemed to have really enjoyed the trip to the max. They got to hang out with their cousins from Maine who they hadn't seen in a couple of years. The energy was flying high the whole time but surprisingly, there were no arguments or fights. Just a lot of running around, playing hide and seek and reading Magic School Bus books with the ever-so-patient Grandpa.

The kids tried skiing and ice skating. We also checked out the High Desert Museum and of course played in the snow!

The highlight of our trip was a dog sled ride. It was amazing although really really cold. The kids were very excited to ride in the back of the sled, they were laughing and giggling the whole way back!

I've known this gorgeous family for over two years. At that time they were expecting their first baby girl who has just recently become a big sister! Congratulations! Baby A is exactly 3 months old in these photos and she's as sweet as she looks! Big sister A is just little over 2 years old and so amazingly sweet and gentle with her baby sister.

Oregon Ballet Academy (OBA) Studio Photo Session - Ballet photography, Eugene, Oregon

Megan & John Murphy from the Oregon Ballet Academy and I met up one rainy Sunday morning at their dance studio to work on a studio session for children that took part in the OBA's Children's Nutcracker last winter and also to capture some images for OBA's marketing materials for their upcoming production of Swan Lake.

The children, as always, were amazing and John and Megan super patient. The academy is an awesome ballet studio located at 1645 Oak Street in Eugene, Oregon. What is really cool about the studio is the fact that they provide free ballet lessons for boys of any age! It is a wonderful way to introduce boys to ballet, its physical challenges, fun from performing and many stick with it.

6-year-olds are cool! - Family and children's photographer, Eugene Oregon

Did you read that article in the Monday paper about 6-year olds? It was tiled Nothing’s better than a 6-year-old — unless you’re his mom. I really enjoyed it.

I absolutely adore this age. Six. So genuine, happy and carefree. This young lady, miss A is no exception. She's an amazingly charming child. A bit reserved at first but once she senses that there is no danger in hanging out with me, she opens up and lets me see all her tricks including her super-duper karate kicks and jumps :-)

KUMON kids - photography session for KUMON learning center located in Eugene, Oregon

KUMON learning center which opened in Eugene last year needed some fresh new photos of their cute students for their walls which will soon be expanding! KUMON is growing! I had the pleasure of working with about 20 children during this specialized photo session. And they were all amazing. What a pleasure!

I had a lovely session with baby A. The day was cold but sunny and A was so happy to venture outside and explore. And she can walk now! How exciting!

I did this newborn session in Corvallis, Oregon. Little B was exactly 7 days old. He was very sleepy and very hungry! He was born at 10 pounds and 14 ounces, a very healthy and beautiful baby!

Livia Fremouw Photography is back at work! And what a wonderful start! I couldn't imagine a better beginning of the new year! I got to hang out with these beautiful newborn twin boys. They were exactly 7 days old when we did their session. And what sweet babies they were! So sleepy and cuddly. Just perfect to photograph!

Schedule update - winter closure, 2009 reservations and deadlines

Just a quick reminder...

I will be closed from December 10th through January 10th for vacation. I will not be booking any sessions during this time (except for newborns age 5-10 days).

You may pick up your orders until December 17th. Your print orders need to be submitted no later than Sunday December 7th. That is this coming Sunday.

Orders placed after Sunday December 7th will have to wait until January for fulfillment and pick up. I apologize for any inconvenience this may create. Photo labs get overwhelmingly busy during this time and are prone to many mistakes. By placing your orders by December 7th, we should be able to avoid this crazy time and have some time to relax and spend with our families.

The 2009 calendar is now open for reservation and is filling up. It is not too early to schedule your spring or summer family portrait session. I will be out of the country the whole month of August plus the first week of September 2009.

Have a great December! And thank you for your support throughout this year. It has been an amazing year and I am so happy I got to meet so many wonderful children and their families! You are all very special to me. Thank you!
